Elective home education is increasing across England, with Government data showing a rise to 126,000 children in Autumn 2025. Families are turning to home education for many reasons, from philosophical preferences to exclusions, but delays in EHCP support, difficulties securing suitable placements, and EBSA are playing a growing role for children with SEN.
